Please join us at the Miller Branch for a community-wide event to celebrate excellence in education, and to thank the community for its major role in Howard County Library System receiving Gale/Library Journal’s 2013 Library of the Year award! July 11, 5:30-9:00 p.m.  Adult, Child and Infant CPR/AED 2013. This course will teach you the skills needed to clear an airway obstruction, perform cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED). At the successful completion of this course, you will earn a two-year American Heart Association completion card.  This course is for community members and does not meet the qualifications for health care provider.  HCGH Wellness Center, 10710 Charter Drive. $55. Are you ready to be a babysitter?  Learn the skills and knowledge necessary to become a responsible babysitter including how to effectively manage children, create a safe environment and apply basic emergency techniques.
